THE AEGEAN ISLANDS.
FORMAL NOTE TO GREECE. [Br H.LEOTRIO TELEGRAPH—Copyrighj [United Press Association.] Athens, February 14. The Powers have presented a Note, intimating that they are giving Greece the islands she occupies, except Tenedos, Embros and Kasterloryso. Greece must guarantee not to use the islands for military or naval purposes, and Moslem rights must be respected. The transfer of the islands is dependent upon the evacuation of the territory held by Greece but assigned to Albania at the end of March. THE PORTE'S DISAPPOINTMENT (Received 9.20 a.m.) Constantinople, February 15. The Porte is disappointed at the Powers' Note, as she hoped for an eleventh-hour modification, and now will probably endeavour to reach a direct understanding with Greece.
