At the second Dmiedin wool sales I'm- the 5ea50n,.25,179 hales were catalogued, making the sale the largest so Tar this season in the Dominion. Competition was keen, American, Rnglish and Continental buyers participating. There was an advance of from Id fo Ik] over last month's prices. The chief buyers lor finer wools were the local woollen mills. The top price up to noon was 14d, obtained for a line of super half-bred wethers from Roxburgh. Speaking generally, the prices this year are on an average about a penny less than obtained in January last yeatf
