A SCHOONER FOUNDERS.

New York, January 15. Gales continue in the North Atlantic,
The schooner Grace Martin, foundered. Seventeen men cruised for a day in an open boat, but the steamer Awaperry rescued them in an exhausted condition. A terrific blizzard was encountered off Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The captain and a member of the crew are still- aboard the Cobequici, but it is considered that there is no hope, of saving the liner. Most .of the passengers were frost-bitten and suffered greatly in the snowstorm, but it is believed that all will recover. When the ship struck everyone thought there was little chance of escape, but the captain and officers reassured them. Consequently the women and children were first saved in an orderly manner. A BIG LINER SUFFERS. BRIDCE CARRIED AWAY. (Recevied 1.25 p.m.) New York, January 15. The steamer Oceanic arrived with her bridge torn off by a gigantic; sea. There were 362 passengers aboard.' The captain reports heavy gales and snowstorms in the North Atlantic. The Oceanic's steering gear was damaged.
