According to reports, the steamer Cobequid is still above water. The reports, however, are not verified. The Canadian Government steamer. Lady Laurier, has been despatched in an endeavour to locate the wreck.
Much wreckage is ashore off the coast of Nova Scotia, but it is not known if it belongs to the C-obequid.
