The wool sales opened with an all!round demand, in which crossbreds participated. Last week's advance was fullv maintained.
LONDON WOOL SALES.
(Received 11 a.m.) London, January 13
The wool sales opened steady and unchanged. There was a most representative selection of merinos, but a poor selection of crossbreds.
Newton King's Stratford Weekly Report.
At the Haymarket sale on Saturday I have to report a full yarding of pigs. There was a large attendance of buyers for all classes. Prices ruling were about par with last sals with the exception of stores whicn showed an advance of 2s to 7s per head. All lines were cleared at the hammer at the following prices: .Slips and weaners lis 6d to 19s 6d, small stores £1 Is 6d to £1 6s 6d, medium to good £1 9s 6d to £2 13s 6d, pedigree sows ("6 weeks old) £1 to £1 2s, mowing machine £l2, sundries in favor of buyers.
