Walter Gould, an Englishman, complains that he was deprived of the occupation of a sailor owing to the exclusive tactics adopted by the New South Wales Branch of the Federated Seamen’s Union in refusing him admittance to the Union because ho worked the Makura during the recent watersiders* dispute.
