NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN
“ACUTE CONGESTION.”

The Daily Mail says there was a poor response to the New South Wales loan, which indicates that acute congestion still exists. The Union Bank has declared a dividend of ten per cent, per annum, with a bonus of two per cent for the half year,‘making a total rate of 14 per cent, for the year. The Bank appropriated £IB,OOO to meet interest on instalments of new shares, added £30,000 to reserve, and carried forward £44,000.
