The Government Meteorologist (Re\ D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications arc for southerly moderate to strong winds prevailing. with westerly tendency. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, with scattered showers. The barometer lias a rising tendency.
