i The dispute continues between the British Medical Association and the friendly societies. There is no immediate prospect of adjustment, both sides being determined. In some cases temporary agreements have been signed with the lodges/ on the terms of the 8.-Vi.A. Otlurs absolutely refuse friendly societies. Other places have appointed doctors on the old scale. It is stated that plenty of applications were received for these appointments.
