Wreck of the Tasman

At latest advices the position of the Tasiuan, the Dutch mail steamer which wont ashore at Bramble Bay while outward bound to -lav;>, is that there is thirteen feet of water, not twenty-three feet, in her holds. A wireless message received from
the commander of the Tasman says: '•The Inalio Mard, a Japanese steamer, is going to-day, expecting the shin to come off. The ship and passengers arc perfectly safe."
The Tasman lias a large general cargo aboard, and also 60 or 70 horse; for Java. Tt is understood that the cargo is covered by insurance, distributed amongst various companies, while the hull is insured in British offices. Among the passengers are Madame Xordica, the famous singer, and two of the United States Panama Commissioners.
