Hock Keys, the well-known lightweight boxer, was talking to a man on a lorry, when the horse moved and a wheel of the lorry crushed one of Keys’ feet. Keys was taken to a hospital, of which he is likely to be an inmate for several weeks. Sydney, December 19.
The High Court has granted Brown a settler who, on July 31 was convicted of having murdered Police-Ser-geant Hickey by shooting him, a new trial. The chief ground of the High Court’s decision is that the Judge at the trial was in error in telling the jury that it was not likely to find any other verdict, than one of guilty or not guilty,
