BERNARD'S PICTURES.
To-night's new series, according to southern advices, should prove a highclass programme. The star drama, from the Yitagraph studio, entitled "His Life For His Emperor," is close on 20lJ()i't. of episodes in the life of Napoleon. "Our King's Navy" is stated to be a most interesting topical and educational. star feature. Other films are: "Latest English Gazette," "Auckland Avondale Races," "A .Modern Lochinvar," "The Bulgarian Earthquake," and "Scenes in Yokohama." The novel sights which the latter film portrays bring before us the activity and business thrift of a nation which has astonished the world, and shows oho of the leading thoroughfares of Japan during the busy hours of the day. The comedies comprise a trio of the funniest, headed by the Keystone screamer, "A Xoise From the. Deep." Mabel falls into the water, nnd her sweetheart rescues her while ilie man her father favors runs for help. A boy is bribed to blow into a hose, the other end of which is concealed under the water. While the rescuers are diving for the body, which is supposed to lie under the bubbles, Mabel and her lover are married.
The performance in aid of the Conri school sports fund will he giv-
en to-morrow. Saturday, at 2.30 sharp. The tickets have been selling lapidlv and a good attendance should be the order.
