Sir hundred delegates of the Tariff Reform Conference at Manchester reaffirmed the necessity of Imperial Preference. Some of the speakers vigorously denounced alleged boycotting of the Tariff Reform speeches by some of the Unionist newspapers.
Mb, Austen Chamberlain, referring to the ,Hbme Rule- rumors, said he had, a habit of dining with half/the Cabinet, but not of carrying on private negotiations. If Mr Asquith wanted a settlement, he should address Mr Boiinr Law.
