Napier, December 16

Captain T. B. Bax, who set out last Wednesday night to attempt to breaa the world’s club-swinging record by swinging continuously for 144 hours, came to a sudden stop last night. ,vhen he had completed 121 hours. In making a circuit one club struck bis knee and flew out of his hand, thus rendering the attempt void.
