[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [Unitku Prksh Association.J (Received 8 a.m.) Washington, December 14. Amendments to the Burnett Immigration Bill, designed to exclude ChU nese, Japanese, and Hindu laborers were adopted by the House Immigration Committee. The Bill is practically identical with that vetoed by President Taft becauso it provided for a literary test. The Bill is now ready for the Hondo's consideration.
The Pacific Coast members tried to insert an amendment barring all Asiatics, but the other members rejected it, and passed only one amendment relating to the admission of laborers. The measure provides for the exclusion of persons who cannot under the existing law become citizens of the United States by naturalization, unless otherwise provided for by agreements or conventions.
