MARGARINE CONFERENCE.

It is understood that the margarine conference will further consider the matter before forming a deputation to Mr Rnnciman (President of the Board of Agriculture), so that members of the conference may consider the matter whether, it is inadvisable to press the request for the prohibition of coloring, as the margarine trade is likely to take advantage of such a provision. i
CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALES.
[Per Press Association.] Christihurch, December 8. There are offering for the first wool sale of the season, to be held on Wednesday, a total of 14,409 bales. The total for the December sale of 1912 was 17,691 bales. NEWTON KING’S STRATFORD WEEKLY REPORT. For my Haymarket sale on Saturday last there was medium entry of pigs to offer before a. large attendance of buyers. The enquiry,, however, for small stuff was not keen as at previous sales. Larger sorts met with good competition. T quote:— Sbps and weaners 16s to ISs Gd, small srores £1 to £1 6s 6d, medium to good stores £1 10s to £2, calves I s to I Os, sundries at usual rates.
