RACE IN NEW YORK. [By Eleotjmc Telegraph—Copyright] (United Press association.! (Received 1.10 p.m.) New York, December 8. ■ The six days’ bicycle race lias started. McNamara (Australia) with Root (New York) is making good headway. The Australian team (Clarke and Hehir) was - prominent in the early stages. Carman, one of the Germans, was injured when the team fell at a turning. The Melbourne team includes Noran : of Massachusetts, and Grenda (Tasmania). The Tasmanian team consists or Walker and Pye.
