SMACKED HIS FACE.
o 1 COUNSEL QUARREL IN COURT. The Court at Forth was recently enlivened by a fistic scuffle between counsel. C. .1. Le Mesurier, solicitor, told Walter Dwyer, solicitor, and Labor M.L.A. for Perth, that ho was a liar. Dwyer instantly smacked Le Mosurier's lace. The Court official intervened, and the Magistrate Mr Cowan, lined Dwyer Co, and Lo Mesurier 50s for contempt;, the money to be paid within three days in default fourteen days and seven days respectively. Both solicitors subsequently apologised to the Court.
