The guards and porters, on learning of the disturbance, ejected the pickets from the carriages to the accompaniment of jeering and menacing, behaviour. The police were summoned, and a constable appearing, lie was received with hootings. He pushed his way through the crowd and ordered the pickets off the station. Where he met with resistance he used some force and intense excitement prevailed, the strikers keeping up a running fire of taunts and hooting of the seamen and the constable. It is stated that a few blows were exchanged, but nobody was seriously injured, rocks. STRIKE FUND DONATION.
