On Friday, 28t . hult., at my Kaponga yards, I had a good entry of cattle, with a strong demand for all classes at the,following prices:— Yearling heifers .£2 5s to £2 16s 6d, yearling steers colored £2 4s, empty 2-year heifers £3 12s W to £4 6s 6d bulls £3 3s to £7 2s 6d, good store cows £3 18s to £4 14s, forward cows £4 18s to £5 Bs, fat cows £5 19s to £7 4s, light cows £3 Is to £3 6s 6d.
At Urenui on Monday Ist inst., the very wet weather prevented some of the advertised stock coming forward, but notwithstanding I had a fair yarding, for which there was good competition at the following prices: —Yearling to 15-month heifers £3 to £3 Is, yearling to 15 month steers £2 13s 6d to £3 Bs, 2-year steers £3 14s 6d to £4 6s, 2i-year steers .£4 17s to £o 2s, 3i-year steers £7 12s 6d, empty heifers £3 10s to £3 17s 6d, aged or small store cows £2 15s to £3 12s 6d, good store cows £4 tc £5 12s 6d, fat cows £6 to £6 14s 6d, dairy cows £6 5s to £6 10s, springing heifers £4 12s 6d to £7 10s, fat ewes and wethers shorn 18s od, small pigs. 10s to 16s, bulls up to £8 Bs. On Tuesday 2nd inst. at my Rahotu yards, despite the very wet morning, there was a good entry of cattle, nearly all of which I was able to clear at the following prices:—Yearling colored heifers £3 3s 6d to £3 Bs, grade 15-morith heifers £2 7s 6d to £3 3s, grade y laernieligiesrfwx9fcshrdlutap grade yearling heifers £1 15s 6d to '£2 4s 6d, yearling to 15-month steers £1 18s to £3 8s 6d, 2i r year steers £4 13s 6d, springing heifers £5 10s to £7 2s 6d, bulls £3 to £5 10s, fat cows £6 2s to £6 13s 6d, good store cows £4 2s 6d to £4 13s, fat heifers £5 2s, small store cows £2 18s to £3 lis.
