A V/ELLINGTON OUTBREAK.
[Per Press Association.]-Wellington,-December 1 Shortly before 4 o’clock this mornii”; a lire broke out in a wooden buildin jr of two storeys in Lower Molesworth Street, No. 14, which was included in tlie Hotel Cecil lease, and ,vas occupied as a boarding house InMiss Louise Howe. The flames spi' -ad to the adjoining house, also of two dories. No. IS. also occupied by Miss Howe in connection with her business, and by Standige and Co, painters and paperhangers, and bet ore the fire was ■■oppressed considerable damage was lone, brtth buildings and contents .being severely damaged. The insurances on No. IS, which was owned by \V. H. Short, of Nelson, were: On the building in the Sun Office for Cl 1(10, and the contents in the Atlas for £285. On No. TL the building was insured in the Norwich Union for £9OO. There was no insurance on Howe’s contents. Standigo’s stock was insured in the Yorkshire for £SOO.
