- 3 FOUND DROWNED. [Peb Press .Association.] Wellington, November 30. Yesterday afternoon the body of a man was scon floating near, th,e Taranaki street wharf, and, when recovered by thy police it was found to be much decomposed, rendering identification a matter of difficulty, . Later, the, body was identified as that of Leonard Price, a wharf laborer, formerly residing in Frederick street. He was last seen on Frjday, 21,st.,inst.., TRAMCAR ACCIDENT. Wellington, November ,30. | David McQninton was knocked down by a tramcar in Willis Street last night and seriously injured. He \ps. taken to the hospital, but the exaet'.nature of his hurts :b not yet ascertainable. McQninton was steill unconscious this morning.

A woman named Jean Stuart, a nurse by profession, who has been staying at a house in North Terrace, and receiving attention, took poison during last night and died early this morning. She had been in indifferent health of late. i,. HANGED IN A BRICK KILN. Ashburton, December 1. ’ An elderly man named Wm. 'Ba ter, j employed at the Allenton brick works, j Hanged himself from' the rafter of a j brick kiln. He was about 59 years j )f age, and appeared to be in his •ir.ual health when last seen last night. He came from Woolston about a U>rtaight ago, and resided with bis wife in the suburbs.
