Old Tory Trick.

MISSION OF THE LIBERALS.

NO MONOPOLY OF FIGHT. [By Electric Telegraph— Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 8.30 a.m.) London, November 30. Air Lloyd George, at Holloway, speaking to the delegates of the Liberal Associations, said Mr Bonar Law’s speech was an old Tory trick. Whenever people were discontented, the Tories raise another topic. The land question was being confused with Ulster.

When the Tories pretended they were out to shed blood for religious freedom and peace it was nauseous hypocrisy. If fighting were begun it would be not all on the one side. Mr Lloyd George concluded with references to the leasehold system and the housing problem. He said the Tories were out to catch and pluck a gull; the Liberals were out to feed the hungry.
