LATE LOCALS.
The A. and P," Association decided to-day that the charge this year for admission to the people’s stand should be one shilling for ladies and gentlemen alike. ~ , u . Not every resident of Stratford and district is a member of the A. and F. Association, but the time will, no doubt, arrive when tiiis will be so. Steady progress, however, is being made towards this state of affairs, as forty new members were elected at to-day’s meeting of the committee. Pleasing as this is, the Association has still ample room on its books for the names of further members.
Though only a young body the Stratford A. and P. Association is by no means the least up-to-date. At many shows exhibitors are put to considerable expense in providing feed for their stock and in paying for attendance; but the Stratford Association provides feed free of all cost. At this afternoon’s meeting of the general committee of the Association Mr R. Dingle stated that there was about seven acres of fodder available, which was in excellent condition. Last year some cattle were not properly fed, while in other cases much fodder was wasted through being badly fed in. This year it had been decided that a man would bo provided to attend to the feeding of the stock.
