summer at the invitation of the Union-Castle Company. Sir Owen Philipps, the chairman of the company, explains that the object of the invitation is to afford an opportunity for the study of agricultural methods in the United Kingdom, and the hope is that such a tour may prove of benefit to the Union and Rhodesia. Working farmers only will he eligible, and preference will he given to those who have not visited England within recent years. The success ol the tour will, of course, largely depend upon the men who constitute the party. The party will leave South Africa about the first week in dune, and will return at the end of August. It is hoped that the farmers participating will on their return do all in their-power to communicate the benefits of their experience to their neighbours. General Botha has consented to he the patron of the tour.
