AMUSEMENTS.

BERNARD'S PICTURES.

Last night's change of pictures at] His ■ Majesty's proved to be a very fine programme, and ! was viewed by a fairly large, attendance. The-star film, by the Hubscli Co., entitled "The Temptation of Drink/" features Miss Asta Neilsen, the well-known Swedish aetress.the staging and acting being on a lavish scale. The picture'of Miss Sylvia Pankhurst's public speech amidst London's millions, and the various arrests by. the mounted police, showing the suffragettes being led to prison, are most clearly portrayed. The supporting pictures include "The Famous Russian City of Moscow," also the latest "Eclair journal." This splendid series will bo screened to-night for the last time. To-morrow evening an entirely new set of films wili be produced. The star items is by the well-known Gaumont Co., entitled "The Lion Hunter." This is a remarkably fine film, concluding with a scene in which there are all the elements of danger associated with the hunting of the monarch of the forest and his mate. The lions, which are killed in order to save the life of the heroine are real beasts, dowered with all the attributes which render the lion a nasty animal to meet at close quarters. A host of other star features will be included.
