DESPERATE CRIMINALS

'■ As rf result of several days' shadowling of a suspect, and overhearing a conversation, detectives paid a surprise visit to a house at Paddington. After a fierce fight the suspect wounding two detectives with knuckledusters, lie was arrested. Then bags of jewellery, valued at £IOOO, the proceeds of recent robberies, were seized. The police declare that a desperate gang of foreign criminals is operating in Svdnev.
A youth, named Taylor has also been arrested in connection with the crime.
