Five bodies with lifebelts marked “Wexford,” have been found on the beach near Saint Josephs, Ontario. They evidently belonged to the capsized freighter. There were a number of other wrecks on the Great Lakes. The storm esta I dished a record for violence and still continues. The steadier Waldo was wrecked. Twenty-five passengers, including two women, were rescued alter groat hardships. The crew of another wrecked vessel,. the Turret Cliff, reached the shore half,, clothed, and spent 21 hours in the bitter cold before they obtained relief from a lightship. Six were drowned.
