4 ANNUAL,.REPORT, The following is a copy of the report to be presented at the annual neeting of the Stratford Gun Club, ■vhich is to be held at the County Hotel at 8 o’clock on Wednesday evening:—

In presenting the eighth annual re>ort and balance-sheet, your committee has to again congratulate members in the substantial interest manifested n inanimate pigeon shooting, not orily within our own, club but in Taranaki* generally. Lash season was productive of more attractions to the shootist than any previous season, as, in addition to the “Nobel Ballistic Cup” and the. Taranaki championship, the Eosvelh gun ' imported 'by the Club provided a-large entry and keen and interesting competition; The Ballistite Cup was won by Mr IH. Campbell for the : second time in - succession, and ! should'lie succeed on any 'future occanon dt i will become his own property . according do the’ conditions i governing ItheO • competition.; WTho Taranaki | ‘hnmpidnsllip *wasi • again: a.i complete success, and the winner,, Mr W. J. Greaves, put up a fine performance in breaking twenty birds out of twenty‘one,' arid thoroughly deserved his title. Thq Boswell gun attracted a record •nitty of 38, and showed a profit of about £lO. The .Club desires do express its’ thimks to the Stratford Racing Club for the use of the racecourse for shooting, and 'the Stratford f GolhClub for allowing gear to be stored iri its pavilion; arid it is hoped that thrive privileges will be again extended to’your Cliib. A : ref&rence to the balance-sheet shows the Club to be , in a fairly gbocl financial position! there being a credit .balance of £2l 10s 6d, and clay birds on hand to the value of £2. Owing to lack of sufficient time, the Club’s secretary, Mr G. D. Hunter, now tenders his' resignation, and you will be asked to appoint his successor t'6-nigh't. Mr R. L.
