C.J.C. MEETING. [Peu Puess Association. J Christchurch, November 10. A strong easterly wind marred an otherwise! line day, when the Canterbury ockey Club’s meeting was continued. The attendance was good and the course in beautiful order. .Results : Middleton Hurdles, or 250sovsj mile and three-quarters.—Peary I, Coronetted 2, Cardiff 3. All started. Cardiff i and Peary were in front at the mile post, Ooronetted,. who was jumping badly, being throe lengths back. Peary always had command, and though Coronetted challenged, ho held his own and won easily by two lengths, Cardiff ten lengths away. Time, 3miu 19 2-osoc. Criterion Handicap, of 700 sovs; seven furlongs.—Bandiera 1, Obsono 2, Bliss 3. All started. Bliss and Palisade fought for leadership round the top turn, with Bandiera and Crown Pearl next. At the distance. Obsono raced up, but Bandiera forged in front and won by a length, with Bliss two lengths back, fololw'ed by Crown Pearl, Ogier and Palisade. Time, limn 20 isoc. Irwcll Handicap, of 300,sovs; four furlongs.—Hyettus 1, Balboa 2, Racontrc 3. Scratched : Bold Stroke and Old China. Hyettus was early in the lead, and won by a length, Balboa half a length in front of Racontre, who finished very fast. Time, 49 2-usec. The New Zealand Derby Stakes, of 1350sovs, second horse to receive 250 sovs, and third lOOsovs. out of the stakes, one mile and a-half.— lCherubini 1, Warstep 2, Stevedore 3.
