ULTIMATUM TO HUERTA.

Mexico City, November 4
An ultimatum has 'been received from Washington ordering Presides Huerta to resign the Presidency immediately and not to allow Genera, Blanquet to succeed him, but instead to allow a free election. No answei has been returned. It is unlikely that Huerta will assent. This was considered not unlikely.
The city has temporarily overtidet! the financial chaos by compelling the National Bank and the Catholic Party each to advance £200,000. When this is exhausted it intends drawing on the State treasuries. Wholesale political arrests are proceeding. The policy of. appointing political opponents as diplomatists abroad has been abandon ed.
(Received 11.3 a. m.) London, November I. Reuter’s Washington agent reports that a copy of the Government’s nlti m a turn to Mexico lias been forwarded to foreign Governments. It requests Huerta’s immediate resignation and the members of bis coterie. (Received 11.33 a.m.) Mexico City, November 4. Huerta conferred with all foreigi diplomats regarding the Unitec States ultimatum, but the result ol the conference is unknown.
