The House adjourned the debate ox? the Loan Bill, which was carried against the Government while a number of Ministerialists were attending the funeral of Mr William Knox, an ex-Parliamentarian, who-recently died in England. At the instance of Mr Cook, the House immediately adjourned. ! ' '
Mr Cook is sore at the Oppositionists' snap victory on the adjournment motion, and denounces it as a trick. Ministers will meet their supporters in the morning and discuss the situation.
