THE KRUPPS SCANDAL.
A SENSATION AT THE TRIAL. r [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 7.0 p.m.) Berlin, October 28. During the trial of Brandt and Ecius, directors of Krupps’, a sensational feature was the testimony of Von Metzeu, formerly Krupps’ representative in Berlin, who is himself prosecuting Krupps for dismissing him. He asserted that he possessed correspondence with Krupps’ directors showing that many of the latter were aware of the system of obtaining confidential information. Counsel for the prosecution and defence alike vehemently protested against the production in the middle of a trial of documents withheld at the preliminary proceedings, but the Court qrdered its production, and meanwhile adjourned.
