T liad an entry of 214 pigs for my Haymarket sale on Saturday. There was a large attendance of miyers and the market opened with fair competition for small pigs, and stores met with a keen demand. Calves were also plentiful, some 50 odd coming to hand chiefly heifers, wide*, met with a ready sale. I quote:—Slips and weaners 10s 6d to 18s 6d, small and backward sorts 6s to Bs, small stores uj, to £1 17s, sows £2, calves 3s to £2, gigs £4 10s to £lB. Sundries at usual rates.
