HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. [ By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] The High Commissioner cables from London under date 25th October, and states inter alia;— Butter. —The market is steady with little alteration in prices. Demand exceeds supply for best quality. Poor demand continues for butter at present in store. Danish 133 s to 1365, Siberian 106 s to 110 s, Australian Ills to 1225, Argentine 116 s to 120 s. Cheese.—The market is quiet vi<ifcli no alteration in prices for Canadian. There is a firm market with fair demand for English. English cheddar 78s •to 82s. NEWTON KING’S STRATFORD WEEKLY REPORT. T liad an entry of 214 pigs for my Haymarket sale on Saturday. There was a large attendance of miyers and the market opened with fair competition for small pigs, and stores met with a keen demand. Calves were also plentiful, some 50 odd coming to hand chiefly heifers, wide*, met with a ready sale. I quote:—Slips and weaners 10s 6d to 18s 6d, small and backward sorts 6s to Bs, small stores uj, to £1 17s, sows £2, calves 3s to £2, gigs £4 10s to £lB. Sundries at usual rates.
