Bishop Frodsham, of North Queensland, addressing the Society of Sacred Mission, said the weakness of the remoter parishes in England was deplorable. Many clergymen did not receive £4 weekly. Cases of clerical poverty were disgraceful to the Church, which fattened upon the clergy's private means. He recommended the application of the Australian Bush Brotherhood's methods to rural parishes.
