AMUSEMENTS.
BERNARD’S PICTURES. Last night’s change of pictures at Bernard’s met with great approval by a fairly large audience. The star feature drama, “Saved by Wire must be one of the best judging by the hearty applause evinced by the audience. The film is by the famous Gaumont Co., which is renowned for up-to-date photography. “The Wanderer,” an A.B. scenario, is undoubtedly a poetical fantasy of the highest possible order. “Calamity Ann’s Trust,” by the Flying A. Co., proved a great mirth-provoking comedy drama. “Kyoto Temples, Japan,” is a beautiful colored scenic by the famous Pathe freres Co. The programme,, which will be repeated to-night, contains several other fine pictures. Tomorrow evening (Wednesday), at the new change, “Shylock, the Merchant of Venice,” adapted from Shakespeare’s immortal work, wil bo produced on a magnificent scale. Ladies will be admitted to the dress circle for Is, gents. Is 6d. During the season songs will be introduced by Will Diamond ev6ry evening.
