RANCHING.
S.A. CHARTERED COMPANY EXPLOIT RHODESIAN LANDS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 10.5 a.m.) London. October 20. The Evening News states that the South African Chartered Company hits evolved a great ranching scheme for utilizing the unalienated land in Rhodesia. It includes the construction of branch lines to tap the Cape-tc-Cairo railway, and will enable meat to be landed in Europe seven days quicker than from Argentine. Mr Walsh, a skilled Texan cattle rancher, lias been engaged as manager. Mr Jameson also gives large concessions to American firms. It is believed that Armour’s Company is included. ______ £» £
