THE LOST MARLBOROUGH.
OLD SALT'S INVENTION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 12.5 p.m.) London, October 7. A son of Captain Hird denies the story published from New Zealand about the discovery of the ship Marlborough. He states that the island mentioned is an invention. The Puget Sound pilot's story Avas circulated a year ago and on investigation it was disproved.
