AIRMAN’S SUDDEN DEATH.

Major George Charietoh Merrick, of the Central Flying School, Upavon, turned turtle and fell 150 feet and was killed. This is’ the first fatality with a' Shortt biplane. (Received 1 p.m.) London, October 3. ‘Merrick was flying under perfect conditions. Apparently he dipped the head of the ‘aeroplane too sharply and was thrown Out. A ZEPPELIN’S TRICK.
Berlin, October 4
When a Zeppelin airship landed at the Potsdapi shed, 200 soldiers were unable hold it,-and it shot for a thousand yards with terrific velocity. Several soldiers were injured.
