Tlio immigration officers have dotained the actress! Marie Lloyd aboaid the steamer Olympic, in company with Bernard Dillon, a jockey. The pair claimed that they were married, hut the immigration officials declare that they need proofs. Both have been removed to Ellis Island pending a sitting of the Board of Inquiry. (Received 9.0 a.m.) New York, Octooer 3. The authorities are deporting Marie Lloyd as an undesirable because she had been cohabiting with Dillon. London, October 3. The Daily Telegraph states that the New York inspectors acted on thh strength of a London cable produced by a reporter of the Pall Mall Gazette. It showed an eccentric operation of the White Slave Act, and illustrated the sensitiveness of public opinion in the United States, which other Governments leave to individual judgment
