Invercargpll, October 2. Three young men, who were found 'kegging" in a stable at midnight on Vednesduy, were brought before the to-day. In regard to one nam>d William Kirwan the magistrate said 10 was a problem, and had spent enough money in fines to have built i small house. He was sentenced to 'wo years' reformative treatment. Another named John Joseph Finnerty, did pleaded that he had only been before the court twice in the last six years, was sentenced to one year's reformative treatment. The other accused, named David Simpson, was convicted and discharged. THE THAMES dOLDFIFLOS. Thames, October 2. Tho development of the Thames deep levels is at present held up through the suddn inrush of a large quantity of water, believed to be due to the intersection of the big Moanatairi fault. The water which rose rapidly is now gradually reduced. The drainage of a large area on the side of the .-lido may have an important bearin" on the future development of ulip Thames goldfields.
