The Wellington v. Auckland Association football match was played here today : -iu fiiih hvith a light southerly blowing across; the ground, in the first spell Auckland had the better of shatters. ,3lorton > ' after a tricky piece, of play, scored first for Auckland. Boyne scored Auckland’s next goal, after two unsuccessful ■shots. In the second spell, Wellington played up better, and Hughes put in a good one for the local men a( close quarters.
