THE BILL CRITICISED. (Received 10.15 a.m.) Sydney, October 2. The rejection of the Fair Rents’ Bill by tint Legislative Council was preceded by severe criticism. It was described as absurd and unworkable, a sham and a delusion, and an electioneering placard. “COUNTED OUT.” Melbourne, October 2. Labourites are objecting to tbo adjournment of the debate. The Address-in-Reply was counted out in the Senate. This is the first time in the history of Australia that an address has been counted out.
