The mutilated body of John Anderson, aged 15, was found in the Vt arparilla district, near Eclxuca. He went rabbiting yesterday. It is believed that he was set upon and murdered by a maniac. (Received 10.0 a.m.) Melbourne, October 1.

Anderson’s body was found through the barking of a dog. The head was severed from the body, which was lying sixty yards away, and an axe was also found near by. Examination disclosed that the boy had been shot through' the heart before the head was severed.
