Delhi, September 30,

Hali Padodeb, senior head constable of the Criminal Investigation Department, was shot in the head in College Square, where the Nationalists hold meetings. Three shots were fired, all of which were effective. The murderer escaped. The crime 5s associated with . the Bengali unrest. Hali Padodeb was tracking a political offender. (Received 12.45 p.m.) Chandra Chowdbury, police inspector at Mymensings, Eastern Bengal, was murdered by a bomb. The assassin escaped.
