Pegoud, in his double feat, began hovering at great height. Suddenly the machine leaned steeply forward. Then lie made a swift, clean plunge at a terrifying angle, making a small, round,' precise loop. \Amid spell-bound crowds, in silence, the machine quickly swerved up, and another perfect loop as graceful as the first followed. The aeronaut was vociferously cheered.
INTERNATIONAL AIR CONTEST. Times— Sydney Sun Special Cables. London, September 27. At tlie international air contest at Hendon, Britain was represented by Hamel, who won the speed contest. France was second and America third. The quick starting competition resulted: France 1, America 2, Britain 3. The alighting competition was won by America, with France second and Britain third. (Received 9.30 a.m.) London, September 28. Pegoud, from a height of 1000 ft., looped the loop four times in succession.
RECOUP TO TOUR AUSTRALIA. (Received 1.15 p.m.) London, September 28. Pegoud, the aviator, shortly makes a tom' of thg world, including Australia.
