The horse Zeal's Green, owned by Mr F. Dowding, of Hawera, has been destroyed. Zeal's Green competed in the Open Hack Handicap at ;the North Taranaki Hunt. Club's race meeting on September 18ih, and was galloped on, but , not, it. was thought, seriously. Some days later, however, the animal to break the injured limb while in its box, and had to be shot.
