It was thought thai Manaia, Pihama, and Opunake might form one district; Pa tea, Hawert and Elth'am another; and Stratford Inglewood, and a third, will the town clubs as a fourth. But the Stratford Club favored'a scheme in which Elth'am, Stratford,, and Inglewood should be grouped together. The general opinion seemed to be thai last year's system had interfered with a good deal of the inter-club play, and that members could not travel so much as they had been asked to do. The whole matter, however, will probably be gone into after the first centre meeting in November.
At the annual meeting of the Xew Plymouth Club on Thursday night the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr W. J. Pennj vice-presidents, Messrs. 0. N. Firth and H. Smart; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. X. Ewing; general committee, Messrs A. Collins, W. , Liiscomhe, J. C. Moivy, J. S. S. Medley, Hall, and R, McK. Morison; auditor, Mr T. L. Buxton; delegateto the Taranaki Bowling Centre, Tdcssrs A. K. Smart. A. Ooldwatev a;.d the president ex-officio. Prizes wore presented as follows:—Trophy, Mr H. Smart; winner of singles handicap, .Mr .!. C. Morey; vice-presidents" prize, Mr Hall.
