SOUTH AFRICAN TRADE DISPUTE

(Received 12.15 p.m.) Capetown, September 22. The Trades Federation holds a special meeting on the 27th to discuss the resolution that the Government trumped up labour prosecutions in order to cripple organised labour. The strike was suggested as a protest.
BUS DISPUTE SETTLED. (Received 12.20 p.m.) London, September 22. The Omnibus Conference discussed the recognition of the union throughout the day in an amicable spirit. Mr Askwith announces that a settlement was signed by the men's leaders, who will explain the terras to the meeting at midnight
