Speaking a! the Dominion Day dinner at the New Zealand Agency, f Mr Cook, proosing "The Dominion," congratulated New Zealanders on their astuteness in completing a reciprocal agreement with Canada. A Voice: "What about the Treaty bet weeAunstralia and New Zealand?"
Mr Cook: "A Reciprocity is not so easy as it seems in the pleasant atmosphere of the dinner party—(laughter). These matters are in the making. Just to what extent the making has actually taken place recently 1 am not prepared to say. Frankly, there is not much time to grapple with these matters, hut we are anxiously looking forward to the time when proper attention can he given to such an important subject as reciprocal treaties."
